WE’RE BRAND NEW FOR 2022!

#BrandNewFor2022

It’s been a long two years since we last played a Victoria HarbourCats baseball game, but it looks to be full speed ahead for the 2022 season and we are excited to announce a number of NEW changes that fans will see when they come back to Wilson’s Group Stadium next summer.

We expect it will be a celebratory return to HarbourCats baseball in 2022, with tickets in high demand, so we encourage fans to lock season tickets in now to guarantee a great seat to see all our exciting changes!

NEW PLAYERS!
With two years off, it is almost a guarantee that we will see all new players.  Word has spread that we are a great place to play and there is a whole new crop of elite NCAA and Canadian college athletes just itching to come to Victoria.  We have maintained and improved the relationship we have with many of our D1 NCAA schools and we anticipate they will be sending us many of their top stars.

NEW COACHES!
We have added two NEW coaches in Mark Petkovsek and Greg Swindell, who along with Head Coach Todd Haney, give the HarbourCats 31 years of Major League Baseball playing experience between them.  Pretty sure there are many MLB teams that do not have that level of experience behind the bench!

NEW TEAMS!
The West Coast League continues to flourish and in 2022, will see FOUR new teams join the league! This includes a natural Island rival in the Nanaimo NightOwls, but also the Kamloops NorthPaws, Edmonton Riverhawks and Springfield (Oregon) Drifters! We look forward to the new rivalries with all teams!

NEW SEATING!
We had hoped to implement this in 2020, but Section 6 has now been re-configured into “Right Field Reserved” seating and offers fans the chance to purchase a reserved seat for just 17.00 instead of the normal 19.00 and for just 2.00 more than a general admission ticket.  Don’t fight for a good GA seat on Fireworks nights, secure a reserved seat instead! Available as a season ticket too!

NEW INDOOR TRAINING FACILITY!
While it won’t be visible from the park, our players and the HarbourCats Players Development Club youth program will now benefit from a state-of-the-art indoor training facility just down the road on Cook Street.  Occupying a space formerly taken by six squash courts, the space includes hitting and pitching cages and the latest in technology that will allow GM and Hitting Coach Curtis Pelletier to get the most out of all our players!

NEW FOOD TRUCK OPTIONS!
We expect our ballpark staples Molly’s Fish and Chips and Greek on the Street will be back, but we have a couple of new food truck options that we are sure will please all fans!

Plenty of great seats available! Get your tickets today by contacting Christian Stewart by e-mail at chris@harbourcats.com or call the office at 778-265-0327!
