The Victoria HarbourCats are committed to creating and maintaining a safe, comfortable, and family-friendly sports and entertainment experience at Wilson’s Group Stadium at Royal Athletic Park, and take pride in the fact that our Park is one of the safest, most family-friendly ballparks in the West Coast League.

The HarbourCats make every effort to ensure socially acceptable behavior in order to allow fans to enjoy the game in comfort. We have strict guidelines regarding fan behavior that directly or indirectly interferes with the enjoyment of the game.

HarbourCats management and the City of Victoria maintain a zero tolerance policy regarding any Guest who violates the Guest Code of Conduct. All Guests must comply with the Guest Code of Conduct. Any Guest who does not will be subject to immediate ejection without refund and revocation of season tickets and/or future ticket privileges and may also be in violation of provincial and City rules, regulations and ordinances, resulting in possible arrest and prosecution.

HarbourCats management and the City of Victoria thank Guests in advance for complying with the Guest Code of Conduct. Enjoy the event.

Stadium Entry – Restricted Items

All persons entering the Stadium are subject to reasonable search of their person and/or belongings to protect the safety of the public and to ensure compliance with this Fan Code of Conduct.

Fans may not bring any liquids into the park. Empty water bottles are permitted and can be re-filled at water filling stations in the park.
Outside food and beverage is NOT permitted to be brought into the park, except in circumstances where a patron has certain dietary or allergic conditions that prevent them from purchasing stadium or food vendor items.

Outside alcoholic beverages may not be brought onto the Stadium premises.

All persons entering the Stadium will be expected to abide by all applicable federal, provincial and local laws.

Guns, weapons, illegal drugs and other materials deemed hazardous or dangerous by HarbourCats or City of Victoria personnel are prohibited.

Whistles, air horns, or laser pointers are not permitted inside the Stadium. Fans disrupting the game with any such devices will be subject to ejection.

Items intended for sale or trade may not be brought onto Stadium property, without a permit, concession license, or applicable permission from the HarbourCats or the City of Victoria.

Pets are not allowed into the stadium, with the exception of certified guide/training/emotional support dogs and with the exception of dogs on the HarbourCats designated Bark in the Park game.

Fan Interference

Victoria Municipal Code and West Coast League Baseball rules require that fans not go onto the field during games (unless specifically invited for promotional events), throw objects onto the field or interfere with balls in play. Violation will result in immediate ejection and/or arrest and prosecution. Violators face ejection and a permanent ban from the Stadium, as well as possible criminal and civil penalties.

Abusive Fan Behavior – Use of Derogatory Language – Fan Attire

Profanity, abusive language, inappropriate dress or conduct deemed disorderly by City of Victoria or HarbourCats management is grounds for ejection.

The Victoria HarbourCats organization and the City of Victoria do not tolerate the use of offensive language concerning another person’s race, ethnicity, gender, religion, disability, age, sexual orientation or national origin by any fan, whether such language is directed at players, umpires, WCL personnel, City of Victoria or HarbourCats staff, or other fans.

Any attire (including caps, face coverings, etc.) that includes any content (such as words, photos, drawings, artwork, or other designs) deemed by the HarbourCats or the City of Victoria in their sole discretion to be obscene, profane, vulgar, indecent, violent, threatening, abusive, prejudiced against any individual or group (e.g., because of their race, religion, or sexual orientation), or which encourages or promotes illegal behavior, is prohibited. Content that is not overtly in violation of the foregoing, but is suggestive of prohibited content, is similarly prohibited.

Footwear is required at all times in all areas of the ballpark.

To report such behavior or language during the game, please stop by our Information Booth to make a report, or find a City or HarbourCats staff person and notify them of your concern.

General Ballpark Etiquette

Be courteous to other fans. Do not disrupt other fans with disrespectful, unruly, or hostile actions or behavior. Inappropriate behavior should be reported to the nearest usher, security or other City of Victoria or HarbourCats personnel, or stop by our Information Booth to make a report.

Sit in your ticketed seat only. Tickets must be shown to HarbourCats or City of Victoria personnel upon request. General Admission Ticket holders must sit in the assigned General Admission seating areas and not sit in the reserved seating along the baselines or in the Grandstand.

Please respect your neighbour and refrain from leaving or returning to your seat during game play. Wait for suitable breaks in the action (there are many in baseball) to do so.

Do not stand in such a manner as to block any fans behind them from enjoying the game. This includes standing between the baseline reserved along first and third base and the general admission seating in those same areas. Fans should also refrain from standing in the wheelchair accessible seating on both the first and third baselines.

Please enter and exit your seating locations via the stairways and aisle ways that exist and not hop over any railings, or walk on or over any seats to do so.

Comply with requests from HarbourCats or City of Victoria personnel regarding Stadium operations and emergency response procedures.

Please be courteous to the residents of the neighborhoods surrounding the Stadium when entering and exiting the Stadium. Please respect their property as well and refrain from vandalism or trespass when entering and exiting the Stadium.

Alcohol Use and Consumption

Outside alcoholic beverages may not be brought onto the Stadium premises.

Alcoholic beverages must be consumed in a responsible manner. Anyone who appears to be impaired by or under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance may be denied further service or ejected from the Stadium (if already at game) or denied entry to the game if overly intoxicated upon entry.

Smoking, Vaping, Drug Use

Wilson’s Group Stadium at Royal Athletic Park is now smoke-free. Use of electronic cigarettes (vapes) and smokeless tobacco products are prohibited in all areas of Wilson’s Group Stadium at Royal Athletic Park.

Use of marijuana on the Stadium premises is prohibited, as is the use of any other illicit drugs.

Scalping – Unauthorized Ticket Sales

The unauthorized resale of tickets in, on or around the Stadium property is not permitted under any circumstances and is prohibited by law. Persons caught selling tickets in violation of the law may have their tickets and their right to future tickets to the Stadium revoked.
