Appearing in 29 games for the ‘Cats, Young was a force behind the plate, finishing with a .295 average and two home runs, including a memorable bottom of the eighth grand slam that gave the Cats a come from behind win against Yakima on July 17. He also appeared in both playoff games and led all HarbourCats hitters with five hits in seven at bats (.714).

Freshman Year 2022

Played in 25 games, 14 as a starter … Batted .277 (13-for-47) with a double, a triple, a home run, 14 runs scored and 10 driven in … Registered four multiple-hit games and three multiple-RBI games … Was solid in the field producing a fielding percentage of .993 with 122 putouts, 11 assists and just one error … Had wo singles, a run scored and two RBI in his season debut, a 13-6 loss to nationally ranked Crowder (2-10-22) … Had a single, a double, a walk, three runs and two RBI in a 13-0 win over Southwestern (2-20-22) … Walked, tripled, scored twice and drove in a run in an 11-1 win over Ellsworth (2-26-22) … Belted a two-run home run in an 11-7 loss to Ellsworth (2-27-22) … Had two singles and scored in an 11-7 loss to Cowley (4-16-22) … Had a two-hit day and drove in a run in a 14-5 win over Cloud County in the Region 6/Plains District Tournament (5-19-22) … Earned NJCAA All-Academic first-team with a grade point average of 4.0.

Was a member of Gonzaga University baseball team, coached by Mark Machtolf … Did not see action in 2021 … The Bulldogs was the West Coast Conference regular season title and earned hit highest-ever seeing in a Regional in 2021 … Earned placement on the Gonzaga University Dean’s List for the fall semester of 2020.
