Hits right, from Upland, CA, and three-year captain in high school, hitting .419 as a senior and winning league title. Spohn joins Cal Baptist as a projected third baseman, standing at 6-3 and 185. The Damien High graduate was a two-time Defensive Player of the Year and also picked up Offensive Player of the Year honors after hitting .420. He made the All-Baseline League’s first team twice and was an All-Area selection as a junior. The Upland native was selected to play in the Palomares League All-Star Game and played on the Red Sox scout ball team for three years.
