VICTORIA, B.C.—The Victoria HarbourCats are excited to unveil the finished product of the major off-season project at Royal Athletic Park, the addition of field level box seats behind home plate.

FIELD LEVEL BOX SEATS AT RAP

New for 2016, field level box seats are available for purchase on both a season ticket and single game basis. 44 seats are located behind home plate between the dugouts, in front of the first row of main grandstand seating.

The original baseball backstop at RAP, which included some chain-link and metal bars that obstructed views, has been removed, and seven feet of foul territory eliminated where the new seating section now exists. The entire backstop screening is now one hundred percent pro-style meshing, creating greatly improved sight lines over the previous configuration.

When sitting in the field level box seats you will be just 37 feet from home plate, which is closer to the action than the players in the dugouts. In addition to the proximity to the action, a ticket here comes with food and beverage service to your seat, ensuring you don’t have to spend a moment of your evening waiting for refreshments.

Field level box seats sell for $550 for a season ticket or $25 for a single game.

Field level box seats located on the third base side (12-15 seats) are available for corporate functions at special rate. These seats provide a way for you to treat your employees and coworkers to a unique baseball experience.

The addition of the new field level seats raises Royal Athletic Park’s baseball configuration to 2,500 seats, which is expandable to 5,500.

PLAYERS REASSIGNED

 Following exhibition games, the HarbourCats have re-assigned four players to the Puget Sound Collegiate League. All four players were with the HarbourCats on 10-day contracts.

SEASON TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE

HarbourCats season tickets are continuing to sell quickly and sales of 10-packs and single-game tickets are progressing at a brisk rate.  Fans are encouraged to secure your seats as soon as possible as selection continues to become increasingly limited as the season approaches.

2016 is the fourth season of HarbourCats baseball in Victoria, dubbed the ‘Grand Slam Season’.  We look to kick it off with a blast on June 7 with the Opening Night ‘Drive for 5,000’ featuring Krazy George, and tickets for that game are going fast.

OFFICE HOURS

The team office at 1814 Vancouver Street (across from RAP) has returned to in-season hours. Assistant GM Brittany French is in the office and ready to assist fans with all ticket purchasing and can take care of any other requests and questions fans may have.
